Elmeridge assembles top global team for OCEANOLOGY international 2000

Elmeridge Cables Ltd exhibited at the Oceanology International 2000 Exhibition at the Stakis Brighton Metropole Hotel, Brighton

Joining the Elmeridge Cables team on Stand at OI 2000 were two major figures from the international cabling industry. Cal Peters, with 25 years at Californias South Bay Cable Corp and now its Chief Engineer, is well known for many impressive successful projects. These include the US Navy submarine test range communication cabling in Alaska, where 10km of 40mm OD bottom-laid cable was installed, and the Aerostat surveillance balloon tether cable, with 80,000 lbs breaking strain, reaching 30,000 feet into the atmosphere.

Technical Manager, Roberto Giudici who has worked in Europes leading customised cable maker, Novacavi, for over 15 years. He has made his name in breaking new ground in many fields, among them umbilical marine cables, flexible cables for drag chains and radiation-resistant cables utilising Kapton.

Elmeridge Cables selected OI 2000 to introduce its new comprehensive undersea cabling services, comprising diagnosis, design and manufacturing, plus its pan-European alliance with South Bay Cable Corp, to add to Elmeridge's partnership with Ericsson Cables AB.

The Elmeridge stand design was a radical departure for subsea exhibitions, incorporating a large water feature animated by movement, light and colour. Applications on display included power/voice/data/image transmission and mechanical/mobile uses.
